Welcome to Qalb. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Qalb mobile application ("App") and related services provided by Seydou ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. App Description

Qalb is an Islamic companion app offering Quran and Tafsir access, AI-powered Islamic Q&A, prayer times, Qibla direction, Hadith collections, worship tools, and trackers. It is intended as a learning and convenience tool, not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship.

3. App Usage

The App may be used without an account unless a feature states otherwise. You are responsible for your device security, data charges, compliance with applicable laws, and use of the App in accordance with these Terms.

4. AI-Generated Content

AI-generated responses are provided for informational purposes only. Their accuracy or completeness is not guaranteed. Important religious matters should be verified with qualified scholars, and you remain responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

5. User Conduct

You may not use the App unlawfully; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with its operation; harass or harm others; submit unlawful or harmful content; reverse engineer the App except where permitted by law; or use automated means to improperly access or collect data from the App.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its original features, design, software, and functionality, is owned by Seydou and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party Quran text, translations, recitations, Hadith, and other Islamic materials remain subject to their respective licenses and rights.

7. Content Sources and Attribution

Qalb incorporates third-party resources including mp3quran.net, everyayah.com, alquran.cloud, the Hadith API by Fawaz Ahmed, and Fitrah Hive's Dua-Dhikr repository. We do not claim ownership of third-party content and seek to use it according to applicable licenses and terms.

8. Third-Party Services and Links

The App may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SEYDOU AND HIS SERVICE PROVIDERS, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, OR RELIANCE ON APP CONTENT OR AI-GENERATED RESPONSES.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Seydou and his service providers from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the App, or violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App when reasonably necessary, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the affected services ends.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local law requires otherwise.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting the revised Terms here. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms presented in the App, form the agreement governing your use of Qalb.
